Calling All Grandparents!

Grandparents play such an important role in a child's life. They are role models, mentors, friends and they always have gum and junk food. So why not capture some of these specials moments of your children with Grandma and/or Grandpa? We can schedule a nice date in the park, take some pictures, and give everyone in the family a collection of treasures. Baby Joseph

Today I went to visit a good friend in Livonia, MI, to take pictures of her handsome little man, Joseph. He is now six months old and could not be any cuter if he tried. He is already starting to crawl! He was such a great sport and was so cooperative. Thanks so much, Joseph! And thanks mom and dad for the Jimmy Johns...mmmmm..... :)

Introducing Portrait Parties!!!

Great news! Aunt Spray is now booking Portrait Parties! As a host, you will invite 6-8 of your friends and their families (or kids, significant, others, etc) to a local park and book them mini-portrait sessions. There are no sitting fees for these sessions and you earn 15% of all print sales to order your own prints. In other words, you can get your session and prints completely free!!

These parties will typically last three hours and each guest will get a 20 minute time slot for portraits. All guests will receive a slide show of roughly 10 edited images to choose from! There is no obligation to buy anything and the sessions are totally free. You can choose a theme for your party (such as dress up, fairies, first communion, graduation, dance, etc.) or keep it simple. It's totally up to you.

I am now booking parties for May 1, 2010 through October 30, 2010. For more information on hosting a party, email us at photography@auntspray.com. We are working on a website update to include this service and it should launch within the next two weeks.

Lauren and Jessica

Yesterday I had the privilege of taking some portraits for two adorable little girls, Lauren and Jessica. These two blondies are extremely photogenic!!! We shot these in their living room between play times, feedings, bathroom breaks, etc. This really is the way to get pictures done. In your own home, around your schedule.

Well, we are getting pounded by a winter storm here in Northwest Ohio. Roughly ten inches so far and we're maybe halfway through. Needless to say, we were stuck in the house. I took this opportunity to grab some shots and work on some photoshop actions. This first set is of the kiddos while they were playing:

Self Portraits

Yesterday I received a scarf in the mail that was hand made by a friend. She asked that I grab some photos for marketing purposes. So, I went outside in the 15 degree weather (how appropriate) and grabbed some self portraits. The scarf is amazing!

Aunt Spray Photography Update

Good Evening! As I'm sure everyone knows, winter is a very slow time for a natural light photographer. It makes for BEAUTIFUL photos, but it's not so fun to bundle your kids up and stand in the bitter cold :) So, I do what I can to get creative shots such as follow my kids around and capture their silly little outfits while they play inside.

This number was a Christmas gift this year and Lydia loves it. These shots are rare as she tends to run away from mommy's camera. She must have been inspired by her temporary magical powers!

Taking a Short Break

Portrait Session Give-a-way!

From time to time I will be offering portrait session give-a-ways. They will pop up here and there, only on my blog, so be sure to check back frequently!
